A skill is the ability to carry out a task with pre-determined results often within a given amount of time, energy, or both.
Learning, Analyzing, Planning and Implementing can seen as meta skills for a person, robot or cyber-space.
A skill is also a connection between two states of a system. Types of skills are relevant in recruiting, at work and in communication, everywhere.
Seen from the abstract level of cybernetics, it is possible to understand better the value connectivism. A skill is connecting something two and more states. They can refer to humanity, personal abilities. Are persons satisfied with other persons and circumstances? It relates to anything relevant to formulate what is anything in certain concepts (theory of everything, universal theory, great systems theory etc).
System is a tool for planning and understanding, as well as symbol is a tool for messaging. Understanding data, information, knowledge and wisdom is essential in systems thinking sessions. Typical for science and cybernetics is to find smallest, atomic parts of information.
Fig 2. is a combination of eight types of skills with their subclasses (cybernetic models are often symmetric and fractal).
The purpose to find two extreme opposites for a point is extended into the 3rd space – method. Three alternatives is often useful selection in understanding rough alternatives as a gray-scale model.
Those subgraphs can, of course, be extended into larger and larger models for specifying cognitive models for robots, persons or services (in the way of Fig 1).
