Artificial intelligence is a natural technology to be used in interdisciplinary works and multidisciplinary practices to learn more, to analyze more, to plan more and to implement new ideas.

Knowledge integration is the most promising area of AI

Metayliopisto creates a formal notation for system based knowledge integration by using Prolog.

Prolog has following unique properties for AI and software:

  • call/redo/fail – mechanism supported by the inference engine
  • database and queries that are similar to the function of soft systems thinking
  • excellent knowledge integration possibilities for distributed working, crowdsourcing and creating knowledgebases for AI
